During the Big Toddle event some of our Tweenies showed an interest in the daisies on the grass. The children explored some books about flowers. This led to discussions about the flowers in their garden.
INTENT:

IMPLEMENTATION
An invitation to learning was set up in the role play area- Garden Centre
Explore natural environment outside.
IMPACT
UTW: People and communities - in pretend play, imitates everyday actions and events from own family life ie conversations about their own garden
PSED: Making relationships - seek out others to share experiences. The children worked together to fill the pots with soil.
NUMBERS: the till was still out from when the role play was a shop, the children used some number names in play when pretending to buy/ sell flowers.
