Mr Tumble Week

Safety Message

Mr Tumble says: Always be aware of fire safety  (Bonfire night)

We acted out the role of firefighters, from getting the phone call, getting in our fire engines to putting out the fire we had great fun. We talked about what number to ring in case of an emergency

We found firewood to build our own bonfire, we talked about keeping safe on Bonfire night and made fireworks using ribbon (remember children need gross motor skills to develop their fine motor skills: writing)

The babies explored 'Peppa Pig and the Fire Engine' story

Healthy Message
Mr Tumble says : Recycle your cardboard, tins and paper....

The children were shown and encouraged to put the recyclable objects into the correct tin/bin. We used recycled objects to make our own junk model.

The babies explored shredded paper and large cardboard boxes.

We're going on a Bear Hunt ........

We're going on a Bear Hunt, we're going to catch a big one, what a beautiful day, we're not scared.....

We explored the forest, we went under, over and through obstacles to look for the Bear. We found him hiding in the Tepee!

Parents Stay and Play

Feedback from our Stay and Play session was fantastic, the children really enjoyed parents coming into Nursery to play.
Here are some examples of feedback from our parents:

"The staff are welcoming and the environment is well suited to the needs of the children. I love that bad weather does not put the staff off from taking the children outside to play"

"The setting is warm and inviting to parents. My child absolutely loves nursery and is very happy and settled here"

"Communication is brilliant and excellent learning strategies"

"Friendly staff. Do a great job in looking after the children"

"I like that the children can play outside whenever they want, great separate play areas for the children to play and explore"

"Excellent team, activities, atmosphere and good creativity in all areas of the room"

"The children have a good foundation where they learn their basics, preparing them for their next journey in school"

"I like all the different activities where children can explore and engage in interesting toys. I like the open area and the outdoor play"

"Very friendly environment"

"The staff are always helpful and happy to answer any questions you have"

"Plenty of space so does not feel crowded"

Please see our 'Suggestions and Responses' board near the nursery office for our feedback to any suggestions on areas for improvement.
Thank you again for working in partnership with us :)
