Critical thinking

There are no paper towels left!!

Instead of staff just filling them up, they asked 'what shall we do?'
*** went to get the paper towels and said he needed the key to open it (he asked Lisa for the key off the hook)

'I can't see'
*** was asked to think of a solution ..... and he thought to get a chair to stand on.

CRITICAL THINKING: Choosing ways to do things •Planning, making decisions about how to approach a task, solve a problem and reach a goal •Checking how well their activities are going •Changing strategy as needed •Reviewing how well the approach worked

By allowing children to think differently, you're helping them hone their creative problem solving skills. ... At these times, it is helpful to model your own critical thinking. As you work through a decision making process, verbalise what is happening inside your mind. Children learn from observing how you think.

UPDATE: parents phone calls

This week we were carrying out phone consultations with all pre school parents, however due to the 10 day isolation we haven't managed to book all parents in and staff have not been able to prepare.

We will rearrange these phone calls to next week - if you have booked a time slot you will keep the same day and time but it will be next week, if you haven't booked a time slot please speak to a member of staff.
