Incy Wincy Spider

During Halloween week the children enjoyed all the activities that involved spiders. 

-A real spider was spotted in Nursery ......

-painting spiders in the creative area

-'Incy Wincy Spider' said *** pointing to the spider on the display....

- putting spiders down the spout in the water tray 

-singing and acting out the song

'Incy Wincy spider went up the water spout
Down came the rain and washed the spider out
Out came the sun and dried up all the rain
So, Incy Wincy spider went up the water spout again'

Lots of interest in SPIDERS 

Intent 

We have been singing the song 'Incy Wincy Spider' whilst painting in the creative area.

Some of our children are reluctant to access the creative area and watch from a far. 

Add a spout to the display. 

Implementation

EYP set up a large floor activity to make a 3d 'spout' for the Incy Wincy Spider display, EYP to encourage the children who are reluctant to access the creative area to join in with the large scale floor activity. During the activity EYP  to sing and act out the song.

Impact 

It was lovely to see all the children joining in with this activity. We heard some lovely language and the children joined in with singing whilst painting the spout.
