Tweenies treasure hunt

-This came from a child digging for treasure in the sand and a discussion about maps 
-The children made maps 
-A treasure map was hidden and they had to follow the number trail to find the map
-They followed the map to find the treasure 












Development Matters observed:

  • Developing understanding of simple concepts (e.g. big/little).

•Learns new words very rapidly and is able to use them in communicating.
Uses simple sentences
•Distinguishes between the different marks they make
·  Recites some number names in sequence.
•Says some counting words randomly
