What shall we make?

During continuous provision the children made food to feed the babies....... conversations took place about types of foods the babies liked. 


Using a next step in learning Susan set up a 'Cooking Station' made up of carrots, oats, flour, rice crispies, knives,bowls. The intent was to encourage turn taking.

PSED- managing feelings and behaviour : some children required a little support with turn taking 
Physical - Moving and handling: using 1 handle tools 
Maths - beginning to use language of size 
Understanding the world- Notices detailed features of objects - talked about the life of an egg
Critical thinking : some children chose to make pizza - they requested ingredients 
Active learning: persist when a challenge occurs
