Tweenies





 The children were making cakes with the play dough.
'I like chocolate cake' said one of the children.
Coco powder was added to the play dough and they made pretend chocolate cakes.
'I like baking'

Emma asked the chikdren if they would like to bake some real chocolate cakes

Development matters observed: 
•Uses language as a powerful means of widening contacts, sharing feelings, experiences and thoughts.
•Uses simple sentences
•May be beginning to show preference for dominant hand.
•Beginning to be independent in self-care, but still often needs adult support.
• In pretend play, imitates everyday actions and events from own family and cultural background, e.g. making and drinking tea.

•Beginning to make-believe by pretending.


The children showed a great interest in the dressing up in 'princess dresses.
They made the home corner into a castle.
They made castles from the construction blocks.
