Making spells

When we went to the forest one of the children collecting items to make spells. An invitation to learning was set up in the malleable area for the children to make their own spells...
Intent: Experiments to create different textures.







Impact:

Exploring media and materials
Explores colour and how colours can be changed.

Maths
Realises not only objects, but anything can be counted

Physical – health and self care
Can usually manage washing and drying hands

Communication and Language – speaking
Uses talk to connect ideas, explain what is happening and anticipate what might happen next
Beginning to use more complex sentences to link thoughts (e.g. using and, because)

Understanding
Beginning to understand ‘why’ and ‘how’ questions.

PSED – managing feelings and behaviour
Begins to accept the needs of others and can take turns and share resources, sometimes with support from others.
