How we evaluate our Teaching and Learning

At Parents Evening we informed parents of the process we use to monitor and evaluate our Teaching and Learning in Pre School. 

Autumn Term -  Baseline assessments (ROSCO, School Readiness, Profile data) - Review children’s progress identifying gaps in individual learning (next steps) - identify gaps within this cohort. This data informs Spring Term planning.

Spring Term - Review children’s progress identifying gaps in individual learning (next steps) - identify gaps within this    cohort. This data informs Summer Term planning.

Summer Term - Final Assessments (ROSCO, School Readiness, Profile data end of Nursery achievements) These results are sent to the Local Authority.

Children Leave Nursery.

A Letter is sent to Primary Schools for end of Foundation Stage results for St Mary’s Nursery children.

Conclusion for our 2014 Leavers - We received feedback  from 6 primary schools with 41 children’s results.

88% of St Mary’s Nursery children achieved good or above level of development ( The National Average of children who achieved a good level of development is 60%)

From Autumn Term 2015 we are going to use the BWD database to monitor and assess our teaching and learning for all cohorts.
